Jacquard silk

Jacquard silk fabrics are fabrics with intricate patterns woven into the fabric that are far too advanced to be woven on a regular loom. In 1805, Joseph-Marie Jacquard created the first Jacquard loom. Jacquard fabrics are considered optimal for making ties and are commonly used in the production of quality silk ties.

Imagine an unlined jacket with soft shoulders. It is light and falls nicely. A tie that is partially unlined (so-called untipped) gives exactly the same feeling and the hand-rolled and sewn edges give an extra dimension of luxury and flair. An elegant, stripped-down look, simply put. It takes about 20 minutes to roll and sew the edges of a silk tie. Our ties in this construction have four folds, the standard is three, which gives a more symmetrical tie.
