The Royale oxford shirt

One of our most popular models since the birth of Granqvist is the Royale oxford button down shirt. These are available in white and light blue, both featuring our signature button down collar. Fabric is woven in an italian mill, with a double twisted yarn (aka twoply or doppio ritorto). So, why is this oxford model so popular?!

Firstly, the diversity. This shirt can be worn with a suit and tie but it can also be used in a casual setting, for example with a pair of denim or shorts. You can even use it unironed at the beach, if you want to cover from the sun. Not many shirts can be worn in all these different ways. Many ask us about the difference between a regular oxford and the Royal oxford. A classic oxford cloth is a much heavier, rougher and casual in terms of style and feel and should not be worn in more formal occassions. 

Secondly, the softness and feel of the fabric. You wont find any fabric like it. If you compare to a regular oxford fabric, that is somewhat rough and has a kind of vintage look, this is a more soft and crisp fabric.
